For more than a decade, I've used The Bulletproof Entrepreneur to understand how ambitious people build, bet, fail, adapt and start again.

About Chi

I have always been more interested in how things work than how impressive they look from the outside.

My career makes more sense backward than it did while I was living it.

I trained in finance and spent my early years in equity research and consulting.

On paper, that looked like the obvious path. Then I discovered I enjoyed asking questions as much as building models.

In 2014, I launched a podcast called The Bulletproof Entrepreneur. At first, it focused heavily on African entrepreneurship. Over time, the conversations widened. I spoke with founders, executives, investors, authors and operators about what it actually takes to build something durable.

That work changed the direction of my career. I began writing more seriously, and writing became the center of my work.

The questions I asked on the podcast now drive my work at Business Insider, where I interview CEOs and founders for first-person profiles about how they work and live.

Everything I've built comes from the same habit: find something interesting early, talk to the people closest to it, understand how the money and incentives work, and build something useful around what you learn. That's the work I plan to keep doing.

    E-commerce entrepreneurship, plus real estate development and finance.

    Capital raising for one of Canada's largest charities.

    Personal finance, AI and executive storytelling.
